Gabriela Czanner

Docentka aplikovanej informatiky, FIIT STU Bratislava

Gabriela is an Associate Professor in Applied Informatics with a rich academic past. She has worked at Oxford University, University of Pittsburgh, MIT/Harvard University, University of Warwick, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool, and Comenius University. Currently in her fourth year of lecturing to students at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology at STU, since 2021, her expertise is in addressing the challenges of data science and artificial intelligence for medical support. Presently, she is leading a team collaborating with MIT to develop trustworthy artificial intelligence, which also involves her students. In another project with doctors at Aravind Eye Care in India, she is developing software for automatic detection of glaucoma.

Katarína Mádelová

IT Analytička, Tatra Banka

Katarína studied Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Bratislava, worked in the theatre environment, edited a portal about culture in Bratislava and connected the world of culture and IT in Ticketing. She stepped into IT with both feet after completing the "Women Tester Academy" course in IT. Since 2019, she has been working at Tatra banka, where she started as a tester. Currently, she works as an IT analyst and passes on her experience as a lecturer of the Even You in IT Women Tester Academy graduates. She continues to read books, listen to podcasts, is interested in film history and as a listener likes to discover the diversity of music genres. She is a citizen member of the Petržalka Culture and Youth Commission.

Kristína Sojáková

Intel Sales Leader, IBM

Kristína works at IBM headquarters in New York as an Intel Sales Leader, where she is currently working on partnering with Intel and jointly scaling sales. She has been with the company for 16 years, having previously led customer satisfaction and advised directly to IBM's top executives alongside the Bratislava team, and later held the position of Chief of Staff for the Head of IBM Cloud. She believes that the right leadership, honest communication and enthusiasm, combined with smart people, can work wonders. In New York, which she has called home for the past 8 years, she is active in the Slovak Professionals NY community and contributes articles to Sme and Forbes. Even from across the ocean, she remains a big fan of Slovakia, with which she is still connected by family and close friends.

Zuzana Šamaj

Principal Solutions Engineer, Cloudinary

Susan is a Principal Solutions Engineer at Cloudinary in London, where she advises clients on how to manage their digital media to look good and bring in more business. She has been working as a trainer with I You in IT since its beginnings in 2012, when as a student at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology at STU in Bratislava she helped attract more women into IT. In 2015, she swapped the Janka Kráľa Park for London's parks, where you can regularly find her running.

Zuzana Tkáčová

Učiteľka informatiky a digitálna koordinátorka, Škola umeleckého priemyslu v Košiciach

Zuzana is a computer scientist with a degree in Artificial Intelligence. Currently she is a teacher of computer science and school digital coordinator at the School of Art Industry in Košice, where she leads the Studio of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies in Art. She has worked as an expert for didactic innovations in computer science teaching in the National IT Academy - Education for the 21st Century project and is currently the leader of the Artificial Intelligence in Education team in the national DITEDU project. She is also the author of several methodological publications, lecturer of courses for computer science teachers and lecturer at the Faculty of Science of the University of Applied Sciences in Košice. She works as a methodologist for teacher education at You in IT. In 2018, she received the Slovak Teacher of the Year award and this year she was nominated for the Slovak Woman of the Year award in the Education category.

Peter is an innovator with extensive experience in IoT, analytics and AI. He is a Distinguished Technologist at DXC Technology and works as a consultant focusing on the practical application of modern and innovative technologies. At DXC Technology, he leads the student program and is a trainer in the Microsoft Student Training Center. He spreads his experience and knowledge among the younger generations and helps them develop in the field of modern technology.

Veronika Bošková

Brand Strategist, Marketingová agentúra MARKLAB

Veronika is a certified ChatGPT expert, brand strategist and co-owner of the marketing agency MARKLAB. Throughout her career, she has worked on both the client and agency side of Slovak, Czech and American projects. She is passionate about using AI to help companies grow and differentiate themselves from the competition, as well as to optimize processes and increase productivity.

The gala evening will include the Women in IT awards ceremony.

The mission of the Woman in IT award is to deepen the idea of women entering IT and at the same time to express gratitude and public recognition to those who support this idea in Slovakia.
