Gabriela Czanner

Associate Professor of Applied Informatics FIIT STU Bratislava

Gabriela is an Associate Professor in Applied Computer Science with a rich academic background. She has worked at Oxford University, University of Pittsburgh, MIT/Harvard University, University of Warwick, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool, and her home Comenius University. She is currently in her fourth year of lecturing to students at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology at STU, since 2021. Her expertise is in addressing the challenges of data science and artificial intelligence for medical support. She is currently leading a team collaborating with MIT to develop trusted AI, which includes her students. In another project, she is developing software for automatic detection of glaucoma along with doctors from Aravind Eye Care in India.
